Senior AM Process Engineer – Polymer SLS

Core Responsibilities:

You will be joining our Additive Design & Manufacturing team where you and your colleagues will be working with the development of AM technologies. You will become the specialist on our polymer SLS processes as you supervise the AM technologies we work with and resolve the best processing parameters. Doing so, you will constantly be tweaking and adjusting our processes in order to achieve and ensure the highest level of quality and efficiency.

To be specific you will:

• Design and carry out experiments and tests • Interact and work with stakeholders

• Train colleagues throughout the organization in the use of AM

• Analyse results of experiments and understand the consequences

We are working at the forefront of the AM technology. Therefore, another very important task will be the implementation of the new machines and technologies in close collaboration with the manufacturers on the development of these new tools, thus playing a vital role in ensuring the overall performance of the machines.

Based from our office in Billund, you will join a diverse team focusing on the research and development of design methodologies and technologies, production technologies, materials, and applications. We are mainly focusing on polymer AM production for different applications and with different partners. The team’s aim is to push and drive the AM industry and its technologies towards true large scale production.

Do you have what it takes?

Previous hands-on experience with Selective laser sintering (SLS) is needed for this role. As a person, you are dedicated, hardworking, and have high attention to details. You are pro-active and take initiative, while being able to work in an over-changing and challenging environment. Also we do expect that you desire to learn more and soak up all the new information that comes your way, just as you will need to have the ability to adapt to new situations with ease. You are innovative and imaginative, and thinking out of the box comes naturally to you. Likewise, you are a great teammate with good communication skills that enable you to build positive relationships, and you know how to convey a clear message to those around you. In addition, you have:

• A background as Mechanical Engineer, Material Engineer or similar

• 3 - years of experience with Additive Manufacturing

• Experience with Polymer SLS is essential

• Knowledge of polymers and polymer processing

• Experience looking at process data and drawing conclusions

• Proficiency in English
